KRISTA’S BIO

1439997250I was born walking fast, talking fast, and thinking fast in a small town. As a serial entrepreneur, I won a mountain of fast growth awards while creating and growing Canada’s #9 fastest growing company only to have it implode due to a terrible corporate culture of profit before values. Having learned how important corporate culture is, I rebounded and created a hybrid engagement firm that secured huge clients less than two weeks from the day we opened. I have been on both sides of the camera: watched on reality television with Animal Planet’s “Groomer Has It Season 2“, CBC’s “Dragons Den”, and with my own reality television show“The Fabulous Furballs” on Canada’s Slice network; and winning two American Advertising Federation Addy awards for my video production work. A naturally philanthropic person who believes entrepreneurs are the key to improving the world, I have served on several charity boards over the years and am a founding member of the Conscious Capitalism Chapter of Las Vegas and enthusiastic evangelist of all things Conscious Capitalism. As a hands on mother to my two young girls, I am driven by my personal belief that, “The world needs more people doing what they do best.”
Having served as a marketing consultant helping brands of all sizes do what they do best in the past, today I am focused. Exclusively working with restaurants, cannabis, & luxury brands as a social media strategist, I am helping them to connect with their Guests through meaningful experiences as the founder of Social Media Unicorn. My first book “Restaurant Social Media: Be Known & Make Money” is coming out in fall 2016. Known as a real time connector, terminator of challenges, and incurable optimist, I love helping brands and individuals achieve their goals. Born a social butterfly, I am passionate about social media and digital strategy, having been honored by Likeable Local as one of the 150 Great Marketers to follow on Twitter and by business coach Evan Carmichael as one of the top 100 Twitter users in Las Vegas. My adventures and misadventures are shared for all to enjoy on this blog and I have built an enthusiastic audience that has grown exponentially from day one.  Named by Vegas, Inc. Magazine as a 2014 Woman to Watch Honoree, I am embracing this moment and living it fully each step of the way. Read more about my story on the Huffington Post.
